Bela: "Mom, are you ok?" Me: "Yes, why?" Bela: "Are you talking to yourself?" Me: "Yeah. Just finishing up laundry, and I am talking out loud while I sort. Don't you ever talk to yourself?" Bela: "Not really Mom." Me: "What? Not even when you talk to your dolls?" Bela: "Mom, that's not talking to myself. I am talking to THEM."

My Mom has been visiting here, and she had been not feeling well during her stay. Mostly sniffles, etc. Her hearing was also affected.

This morning while Bela was eating breakfast, my Mom and I were talking, and she had me repeat something. She apologized and said "Sorry, my head has just been in the clouds lately." Bela immediately said; "Aw Grandma, you are so lucky. I always wanted to fly in the clouds."

So today, one of my all time favorite shows in the world is going to end. (LOST) I am a bit of a drama queen, so all day, I keep publicly announcing: "T-minus 5 hours and counting until the LOST finale", and then fake sobbing. Bela comes over after one of these outbursts of mine, and hugs me, and then says "Mom, don't worry, at least you have one more season of Hannah Montana."

Bela: "Mom, have you ever noticed how much we are like trees? Their trunks are like our legs, strong to stand on.. Their branches are like our arms. Their leaves are like our hair." Me: "Yeah, you are right Bela." Bela: "And no one taught me that in school, I came up with it all by myself."
